Over the past 15 years, I’ve built and scaled programs across higher education and national non-profits, leading initiatives that help learners grow with purpose, confidence, and belonging. I currently work in the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering, where I designed and launched the PEY Co-op Preparatory Program, transforming a legacy system into a scalable, data-informed learning ecosystem that now supports nearly 6,000 students each year.

I earned my M.A. in Curriculum Studies and Teacher Development from OISE at the University of Toronto, where I focused on comparative, international, and development education — a lens that continues to shape how I design inclusive, globally conscious learning experiences.

As an educator, designer, and system-builder, I believe learning should be as human as it is strategic. This philosophy grounds my work and informs the four core values that guide my approach:

💛 Empathy — understanding the learner’s experience and designing from their perspective.

🧭 Integrity — building programs that are transparent, equitable, and evidence-based.

🔍 Curiosity — approaching challenges as opportunities to learn, experiment, and evolve.

🎯 Impact — ensuring that every initiative connects people, purpose, and measurable results.

These values guide everything I create, from course design and resource development to team collaboration and long-term strategy. I believe learning thrives at the intersection of structure and compassion, where people feel both supported and challenged to grow.

Originally from New York, I moved to Toronto in 2014 after meeting my husband, Shawn, while teaching in Seoul, South Korea — an experience that deepened my appreciation for cultural exchange and global education. Today, Toronto is home for us and our son, Jack. Outside of work, I find joy in movement, storytelling, and discovery whether it’s an early-morning workout, a great book or film, or trying new recipes. I have a zest for life and adventure, big and small — from living abroad to doing the CN Tower EdgeWalk — and I bring that same spirit of curiosity and courage into the work I do every day.
